- 1996 Official opening of Diosynth's new campus in Oss, the Netherlands
- 1996 Corning Pharmaceutical Services spun-off as Covance, Inc. and Covance Biotechnology Services Inc. founded as a subsidiary
- 1997 First clinical product shipped from the RTP facility, North Carolina, USA
- 1998 First FDA inspection of Diosynth's recombinant protein facilities in Oss, the Netherlands, leads to marketed product
- 1999 Diosynth begins process development of recombinant insulin
- 2000 Formal opening of state-of-the-art cGMP downstream processing facility and official start of the upstream facility expansion in Oss, the Netherlands
- 2001 May - First FDA inspection at RTP, North Carolina, USA, facility
- 2001 June - Akzo Nobel Inc. acquires Covance Biotechnology Services Inc., forming Diosynth RTP Inc.
- 2001 October - Announcement of additional investment in upstream facility in Oss, the Netherlands
- 2002 October - Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina, USA, facility hosts EMEA inspection
- 2003 June – Diosynth Biotechnology signs multi-year contract with Pfizer Inc to produce commercial product
- 2006 May – Diosynth Biotechnology incorporates a novel cell line development technology into its portfolio of offerings
- 2007 November – Diosynth Biotechnology becomes a part of Schering-Plough Corporation
